Article 22 AR appointment
Mandate setup, onboarding, document availability workflow and authority liaison.
Your mandated EU point of contact under Article 22 of the AI Act
For non-EU providers of high-risk AI systems, representAI acts as the mandated EU point of contact required before EU market access.
Established in the EU · one mandate for all 27 Member States · no overreach into provider duties
Article 22 creates a legal representative role for providers established in third countries before they make a high-risk AI system available in the EU. The representative holds a written mandate, keeps key compliance documentation available where applicable, cooperates with competent authorities, and acts as the provider's EU contact point.
If your system is high-risk and you are established outside the EU, the representative is part of market access, not a nice-to-have advisory add-on.
